An 83-year-old, a two-story home, and a way forward.
She lived alone in a two-story home with no downstairs bedroom, on a limited Social Security income. No mortgage. The house was outdated, needed repairs, and the maintenance was becoming too much.
We moved her into a single-story, two-bedroom home. We used part of her equity and structured a reverse mortgage, reviewed together with a licensed loan specialist so every number made sense to her before she signed anything.
Today she has extra money every month, funds set aside for the travel she always wanted, and a home she can comfortably live in for the rest of her life.
